It may be prime autodial season, but forget all that rhetoric—I know one call in your future that is guaranteed to make a positive difference in November! The Issaquah School Foundation’s (ISF’s) All in for Kids Campaign is underway, and
every penny raised will directly benefit students in each school across the district. We’re not only shaping the future of our state and nation next month, but of our children, too.

The All in for Kids Campaign raised $325,000 last year, and ISF is challenging every family to give in whatever way possible, big or small, to surpass that amount this year. Students will be calling your house November 13 or 15 to ask for support, but you don’t have to wait! Send in your gift using the envelope that came with your All in for Kids campaign letter mailed to your home or go online to donate right now, and your name will be removed from the call list and printed in The Issaquah Press. The funds from All in for Kids will support the Foundation’s ongoing programs—including book rooms and art lessons at our
elementary schools; open-library programs, robotics clubs, and financial literacy classes at our middle schools; and computer science and web design classes, PSAT scholarships, and science/technology/engineering/math initiatives at our high schools. This year, All in for Kids gifts will also fund a new Dedicated Fine Arts Fund for secondary schools.

Your gift—in any size—makes a difference for our students. Just $60 a year ($5 a month) will provide six months of individual mentoring support to a student who needs it most; $1,000 a year will help spark interest in science for 580 elementary students with curriculum-aligned media for their school library. The list goes on and on.

This year, the Supreme Court ruled that Washington State is not adequately funding basic education. In the Issaquah School District, we are not going to let the state’s financial constraints become our children’s learning constraints. Together, we are All in for Kids. Take action now or make a student caller’s day by picking up the phone in November.

Times are tight, which is why anything you can give is not only much appreciated but also much needed.
