Do you have a future hip hop dancer or prima ballerina? The Reflections Fine Arts Program is an excellent way for your student to show off their talents. There are only 3 weeks before the November 4th deadline. In order to be
eligible for judging, works of art must be created by only the student, and need to reflect this year’s theme, “Diversity Means….”.

During the week of November 7th, we will have a group of local professionals in each category who will judge and provide feedback on each entry. One of our literature judges will be Deena Cook, local author of three children’s books, Pinky and Peanut: The Adventure Begins, Pinky and Peanut: Trouble Times Two, and Pinky and Peanut: No Boys Allowed. Entries will have the chance to compete in district, state or national competitions. Students also receive a Newcastle participation prize!

Students may submit works of art in any, or all, of the following categories: Visual Arts, Literature, Musical Composition, Film/Video, Photography, or Choreography/Dance. Remember, the deadline for submitting entries is November 4! If you are just getting started, OR if you’ve requested an information packet(s) via the red Reflections form, please go to
