Save the Date for our First General Membership Meeting – September 25 Dr. Wood presents “How to Build Growth Mindset at Home” Our first PTSA General Membership meeting will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 6:30-7:30 pm in the Newcastle Elementary Library. Our goal with General Membership meetings this year is to not just conduct important PTSA business, but to bring valuable information to the parents at Newcastle. So join us for some light refreshments and to hear Dr. Wood share some tips and tricks for building Growth Mindset in our kids. We’ll then have a quick vote on our PTSA budget, standing rules, and mission and goals. Sometimes growing up can be tough! How can we support our children, while also allowing them the opportunities to develop the grit and determination needed for success in life as an adult? Dr. Wood will be sharing tips for developing a Growth Mindset for students as well as ideas and strategies all parents can use to support their children at home. We hope to see you there! Did you miss out on a yearbook for your child last year? Our vendor surprised us with a few extra and they’re available for $20 each. Please contact Jessica Anderson at jessiej0608@gmail.com. Popcorn Fridays are Back!
For the 2019/2020 school year the PTSA will be offering FREE popcorn on the last Friday of every month. No more need to pack those quarters and no more disappointed kids. Let your kids know to look for the popcorn at recess on the last Friday of the month. Our school wouldn’t be what it is without our amazing volunteers. We are so appreciative of everyone who dedicates their time in any way. This week we’d like to thank the parents who took time out of their days to make the transition back to school a smooth one for everyone during our first two weeks.
