Join Us As Dr. Wood Presents “How To Build A Growth Mindset At Home” Our first PTSA General Membership meeting will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 6:30-7:30 pm in the Newcastle Elementary Library. Sometimes growing up can be tough! How can we support our children, while also allowing them the opportunities to develop the grit and determination needed for success in life as an adult? Dr. Wood will be sharing tips for developing a Growth Mindset for students as well as ideas and strategies all parents can use to support their children at home. We will be voting on our PTSA Mission and Goals as well as our Standing Rules and 2019-2020 budget. It’s a great opportunity to see where your PTSA dollars go. We hope to see you there! And if you have ideas for other topics that could be of interest, please contact Trisha Marshall at tsm0507@gmail.com. Win Your Child's Class A Donut Party (And Your Teacher Some Money)!
We’re having a membership drive! Join the PTSA by Oct. 31 and help your child’s classroom. If the class hits 100% membership, the kids will enjoy donuts and the teacher will get some money towards classroom needs. Visit the PTSA website to join today. Limited Supply of 2018/2019 Yearbooks Available!
Did you miss out on a yearbook for your child last year? Our vendor surprised us with a few extra and they’re available for $20 each. Please contact Jessica Anderson at jessiej0608@gmail.com if you’d like to grab one. Volunteer Spotlight
Our school wouldn’t be what it is without our amazing volunteers. We are so appreciative of everyone who dedicates their time in any way. This week we’d like to thank the parents who took time out of their days to help make picture day run seamlessly for our kids and staff. A BIG NEWCASTLE LION THANK YOU GOES OUT TO:
Support the Issaquah Schools Foundation and Support Our Kids!
Step up for kids this Fall! Welcome back to the 2019-2020 school year! Since 1987, households like yours have been impacting the lives of more than 205,00 Issaquah School District students by donating to the Issaquah Schools Foundation. Issaquah Schools Foundation is an important resource at all 24 schools, supporting programs like after school academic programs, robotics, dedicated fine arts, Cultural Bridges, basic student needs and homework help! We also provide grants to teachers and schools that benefit every student and every school in the district.
As you consider planning your yearend donations, consider supporting the Issaquah Schools Foundation. Your donations give students opportunities to explore and cultivate their interests, thrive academically, and graduate with the skills they need for a rewarding and productive future. Step Up for Kids and donate to our fall campaign here.
Save the Date: Support the Issaquah Schools Foundation by Dining for Kids this Fall!
Take a break from making dinner and enjoy a night out at Agave Cocina at 961048 NE Park Drive in Issaquah. A portion of all meals purchased on Wednesday, October 2nd will come back to our schools via the Issaquah Schools Foundation. |
