Save The Dates For Upcoming PTSA Events
Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd Grade Families – Movie Night Friday The first PTSA sponsored family movie night of the year is coming this Friday, March 6 and is open to Kindergartners, 1st and 2nd grade families (siblings welcome). Join us from 6-8pm in the school Commons area as we watch Abominable. Kids are invited to wear PJs and bring sleeping bags/blankets and pillows. Please bring a main dish, side dish, or snack to share along with something for your child(ren) to drink. Please note that this is NOT A DROP OFF EVENT - parents must stay with children.
Golden Acorn Award Nominations Due By March 14 Each year our PTSA awards the Golden Acorn to individuals who have given outstanding volunteer service to the children and youth in our school community. The Golden Acorn is special and given for continued and dedicated service. This is an excellent way to honor our volunteers that have gone “above and beyond”! Award winners receive the Golden Acorn Award Pin and a special certificate from the Washington State PTA. The Council also contributes in the winner’s name to the Washington State PTA Scholarship Foundation, which provides scholarships to selected high school students entering post- secondary education. Please complete the form found {here} to nominate someone who is making a difference in our children’s lives. Be as specific as possible in your answers. Final decision on winners will be made by our Golden Acorn Committee. Questions? Please contact a member of our Committee: Trisha Marshall at tsm0507@gmail.com, Elysa Piha at empiha@gmail.com, or Allison Sweeney at aewsweeney@gmail.com. Nominations are due by March 14, 2020. It's Orange Ruler Time! What is the Orange Ruler!
Orange Ruler is a school fundraiser that allows our students to get involved raising money for our PTSA and school while also competing in a Fun Run. The event kicks off in May and allows us to raise money in the years in which we don't hold an auction. The kids also love it!
We can't do the Orange Ruler Fun Run or fund these great programs without you. We rely on parent volunteers to reduce the overhead needed to make this fundraiser a huge success. Please take a look at the Sign-Up Genius link - you can help as little or as much as you want - from placing a few phone calls to attending the kids' lunch period to organizing the Fun Run. There will be a volunteer kick-off meeting in March. Questions? Please email alibligh@gmail.com. Thank you so much!!
