Newcastle PTSA Virtual Fundraiser

It’s hard to believe it was 8 weeks ago that the whole world changed. This week would’ve been the launch of our Orange Ruler Fun Run, our biannual PTSA fundraiser. We had an aggressive goal this year to raise $76,000 to help fund PTSA programs next year. We understand that many Newcastle families may be facing financial struggles and that there are many organizations in need right now, but if you had planned to donate to the Orange Ruler or wish to help us close this funding gap in order to keep programs in place next year, you can donate here. Any amount would be greatly appreciated and corporate matches are always accepted. 100% of the money donated comes back to the school to fund Art Programs, Teacher Grants, Paraprofessionals in the classroom, family programming and more - see how our PTSA funds are allocated and spent here. Indicate Interest In PTSA Board By May 21

Our search for PTSA Board members has gone virtual along with school. Have you ever wondered what the PTSA does? Have ideas about how PTSA activities could be improved? Just want to become more involved in your child’s school? Consider joining the PTSA Board. Our Nominating Committee is in search of people who can help us enrich the educational experience for every child at Newcastle. We’re looking for the following positions:

Most positions require a commitment of no more than 5 hours per month, including meetings, and we design meetings around the schedules of our board members. So whether you’re a mom or dad or grandparent, whether you work outside the home or stay home, the PTSA is for you. The only requirement is that you’re a PTSA member. If you are interested or just have questions or if you know someone you think could be great, please contact our Nominating Committee (Jessica Anderson, Marcia O’Donoghue, Sarika Sikka) at newcastleptsa.nominating@gmail.com.
