Hello Newcastle Lions!

We are excited for the 2022/2023 school year to get under way! 

Reminder, 1st through 5th graders start school tomorrow, August 30th, and kindergarteners start school Friday, September 2nd.

Today is Meet the Teacher, from 11:00a-12:00p, and the PTSA will be at the playground handing out popsicles (while supplies last) and important PTSA information from 11:00a-12:30p. Come say "Hi!"

Volunteer Needs

We have a number of open volunteer positions, in addition to open executive board seats. 

VP of Programs. The VP(s) of Programs ensure that our family and academic events and programs take place and that they reflect the needs and desires of the school, students and families. Time commitment: 3-5 hrs per month. You would be co-chairing with an already experienced board member!

FACE Coordinator (Family and Community Engagement). Coordinates Cultural Ambassadors to welcome families and help with translations of school information.

Angel Program Co-Chair. Responsibilities include but are not limited to communication with school Counselor and coordination of confidential requests from Angel Program students with Angel Program Donors. Two-year commitment preferred. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. You will be working with an experienced co-chair!

Membership Meeting w/ Principal Chat & Meet the Dean!

Join us for our first General Membership Meeting of the year! You do not have to be a PTSA member to join, but we’d love for you to be a part of our community! You can join HERE.

We will have a meet and greet with our new Dean of Students, Chad Porter, and a principal chat with Dr. Wood. The final budget for the school year will be voted on as well as other important information. The meeting will be held in the Newcastle Library on Wednesday, September 14th, from 7:00p-8:30p. 

Spirit Wear

Our first spirit wear sale of the year has begun! Orders will be taken until September 9th and will be delivered to your student’s classroom at the beginning of October. Don’t miss out! If you are in need of financial support to order, please email Cara Garaci at GeraciC@issaquah.wednet.edu.
