YOU'RE INVITED! Shop online with us this holiday season! Every dollar will support and enrich the educational needs of Newcastle Elementary students through supplemental programs such as Art Docents, Science-to-Go, Reading and Math Support, Assemblies, and additional Bilingual Language support. Bid on some of your favorite items while supporting our students, staff and families. There are gifts for everyone to enjoy! More items will be added before the online sale begins on November 27th! BOOK FAIR IS BACK! The Scholastic Book Fair will be held in our library from November 28 - December 2nd (during conference week). All proceeds will buy books for homeroom classroom libraries! Students can shop on their own during their assigned lunch recess or with an adult the morning of conferences. The schedule is as follows: Monday, November 28th during lunch recess: Grades 1st, 2nd, and 5th Tuesday, November 29th during lunch recess: Grades K, 3rd, and 4th Wednesday, November 30th and Thursday December 1st (Families): 9:30am – 12:30pm *An adult must accompany children. Please do not drop your child off during your conference. Friday, December 2nd during lunch recess: Grades K-5 *This year, parents can choose to create an eWallet for their children to spend at the fair which means they won’t have to carry cash to school. More details about this will come home in an email from Mrs. Snyder. See you at the fair!
Thanksgiving Baskets Newcastle PTSA is happy to join up together with other PTA/PTSAs from our south-end school community to host a Thanksgiving Dinner Drive. Baskets will go to families within our school communities. How to Help: • Sign-up to donate a basket here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0f4fada929a1fe3-thanksgiving Please drop off Monday, November 21st, at Maywood Middle School's parent pickup loop, near the main entrance, from 4:00-5:30pm. Many of us have outgrown school spirit wear lingering in our kids' closets! The month of November we will have a box outside the front of the school accepting donations of gently used school spirit wear! These Newcastle Elementary spirit items will be available for our counselor to provide to students who may need a change of clothes at school or a little school spirit in their closet!
