ABOUT THE AUCTION

Dear Friend of Newcastle Elementary School,

Every two years, the Newcastle Elementary PTSA holds a fundraising auction to raise critical funds that support our students and help bridge the gap created by ongoing state funding shortfalls.

This year’s fundraising will begin with our Holiday Silent Auction on December 16, 2026, held in conjunction with our Winter Family Night, and will culminate with our exciting Auction Night on March 5, 2027, at the Newcastle Golf Course banquet room right here in Newcastle.

More than 300 parents, staff, and community friends are expected to participate in these events. Thanks to the generosity of our community, the PTSA is able to provide important programs and resources for our students, including art education, reading programs, and additional student support.

A New Kind of Auction Night!

This year, we are trying something VERY different! In lieu of a traditional live auction, guests will enjoy an evening of casino-themed entertainment featuring Blackjack, Craps, and other gaming tables. At the end of the evening, guests can turn their gaming chips into raffle entries for a chance to win one of several amazing prizes.

Some experiences simply cannot be purchased—like having your student serve as Principal for the Day or arriving at school in a Bellevue Fire Department fire truck!

No gaming experience is required, no cash will be exchanged at the gaming tables, and the only requirement is to have a fun night out while supporting Newcastle Elementary!

Help Us Reach Our $60,000 Goal

Our goal is ambitious: raise approximately $60,000—enough to cover an entire year of PTSA-funded programs and expenses—with limited to no additional fundraising events.

Reaching that goal depends on the generosity of friends of Newcastle Elementary School: our families, local businesses, and community members.

We invite you to partner with Newcastle Elementary by donating an item, experience, gift certificate, or service to this year’s auction.

In recognition of your generosity, we are pleased to offer promotional opportunities including:

• Increased awareness of your business, service, or product within our community
• Introduction of new community members to your business
• Recognition and support from Newcastle Elementary families
• Free publicity through our school newsletter, website, and auction-night materials

Please complete the Auction Procurement Form and return it by mail or email as soon as possible for consideration in our December 16 Holiday Silent Auction, or no later than January 30, 2027, for our March 5 Auction Night.

Every donation, large or small, helps us provide meaningful opportunities and resources for Newcastle Elementary students.

Monetary donations bring down the costs associated with the auction and in exchange provide a cost-effective means of advertising for local businesses. Please ask your favorite businesses to donate an item for our 2027 auction. Donating is a win for them as it exposes their business to new customers.

Ideas include restaurant/retail gift cards and activities/entertainment for kids and families.

Families, please consider utilizing your season tickets for cultural or sporting events, club memberships, or vacation properties to offer a donation. You might also consider hosting an experience or event, such as an college theme party, poker party, dinner party for 8, etc. All donations are appreciated!
