NEWCASTLE FOOD DRIVE!

We will be collecting donations for the Issaquah Food Bank from February 25 through March 25. Please place all food donations in the collection bins located at the front of the school.

To make it extra fun, students can vote by placing their donations in the appropriate bins! The prices are:

  • 🎨 Fun Hair Spirit Day
    or

  • 🍽️ Free Seating at Lunch

The option with the most donations wins!

Thank you for helping support our community while making a difference together.

πŸ“… Mark your calendars!

Our Fun Run is happening March 4 during lunch recess.

The Fun Run is one of the biggest ways families help shape the amazing school experience our kids enjoy. Funds raised support:

  • Lion Art
  • Field trips like 5th Grade Camp and Toymaker Workshop
  • Community events such as Multicultural Night and Fall Fest
  • Classroom resources for teachers
  • Teacher appreciation luncheons and gifts
  • PE equipment

🎯 Our schoolwide goal this year is $30,000

That’s a suggested goal of $100 per student, though our PTSA invests closer to $200 per student each year to fund programs, grants, and enrichment opportunities.

Every donation—big or small—makes a difference and helps us continue offering these meaningful experiences for our students.

🎨 ART VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

The PTSA funds and runs our school’s art classes, and we need your help to keep this thriving!

We are looking for:

  • One enthusiastic volunteer to lead a 4th grade art class. Lessons are already prepared—you’ll just guide the class with support from other volunteers. You don’t need to be a 4th grade parent to help!

  • Additional volunteers for art classes across all grades. Your child does not need to be in a specific grade to participate.

If we want our students to continue enjoying art, we need volunteers. Without your support, this program may not run next year.

Requirements:

  • The art docent must be a PTSA member.

  • All volunteers must be approved by the Issaquah School District.

Send an email to: newcastlepsta.lionart@gmail.com
Step up and help make art possible for our kids!
