Variety Show Volunteers Needed

Calling all volunteers!  We have an exciting event that is coming to Newcastle this year. Our Variety Show is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their amazing talents.

Here are the dates/times for auditions, dress rehearsal, and the evening performance.

Auditions

April 30th from 3:40pm - 5:15pm
May 1st from 3:40pm - 5:15pm
May 3rd from 3:40pm - 5:15pm

Dress Rehearsal
May 10th from 3:40pm - 5:30pm

Evening Performance
May 11th from 6:00pm - 7:30pm
P
erformers would need to be here at 5:30pm

We need parent volunteers at each of these events in order for the Talent show to run smoothly. The parent volunteers would be monitoring children during the auditions (making sure they are waiting respectfully for their audition in the gym), helping during the dress rehearsal and evening performance, monitoring performers and helping performers get up on the stage.  The evening performance would be free for families.

Please use the link below to sign up as a volunteer for our upcoming Variety Show:

Orange Ruler Fun Run

We are excited to announce our Spring Fundraiser, the Orange Ruler Fun Run! The program will last for approximately two weeks with our kick-off assembly on Tuesday, April 24th.

The Newcastle PTSA has put together a fun-filled experience for our children and school that focuses on teamwork, staying active and believing in yourself.

This important program will help us raise much needed funds to maintain ongoing technology support, student enrichment like the LionArt Docent program and Science to Go labs, intervention programs in math and in reading and so much more. Money raised from the fundraiser is critical to help bridge funding gaps until our school auction next year.

Please be on the lookout for the Orange Ruler parent letter and donation envelope, which will be coming home with your child on the day of the kick-off assembly.

Get ready for our great Spring Fundraiser! Thank you!

If you have any questions, please contact Vivian Bastron at viv2007@gmail.com or Gina Hall at hall.gina@comcast.net.

Please join us at the Issaquah Schools Foundation's Nourish Every Mind Event

Do you ever wonder what it takes for kids to learn – a well-nourished child, a rich learning environment, a well-prepared and educated teacher, a supportive family? Each of these elements contribute to the success of student learning.

Please join us to learn how our community can support the needs of students at the Issaquah Schools Foundation’s Nourish Every Mind Luncheon, to be held at Meydenbauer Center May 10, 2018, or breakfast held at Eastridge Church in Issaquah on May 22, 2018.

We're hosting some tables at the luncheon on May 10 and would be honored to have you join us. Although we don't currently have a table dedicated to Newcastle Elementary at the breakfast, we are happy to help sign you up for that event if it works better for your schedule. We'll make sure you are well taken care of.

Nourish Every Mind is a great way to learn more about the Issaquah Schools Foundation and hear first-hand from students and staff who have directly benefited from Foundation investments. You’ll also discover why private support is the quickest path to improvement of our public schools.

The requested minimum donation at the luncheon and breakfast is $150, or $12.50/month, all used to support programs and initiatives that touch the lives of all Issaquah School District students.

We hope you will join us for this inspirational and informative event. Please RSVP directly to Trisha Marshall at tsm0507@gmail.com as she is leading the effort for Newcastle.
