Brown Bear Carwash Tickets Are Still Available! Make holiday shopping easier by purchasing Brown Bear Carwash tickets and support the 5th Grade camp. You can buy 1, 2 or a pack of 5 tickets good for a Beary Clean Car Wash. Visit the 5th Grade Camp Fundraiser site {here} to order.
Sign Up For "Love From The Oven" Cookie Exchange On Dec. 17 Help us carry on the tradition of showing our love for our amazing Newcastle staff with a delicious cookie exchange, happening on Tuesday, Dec. 17. Volunteer to bake your favorite sweet treat and show the staff how much you appreciate them. Simply sign up {here} with the goody you’ll bring and drop off in front of the office all day Monday, Dec. 16 or by 9:00 Tuesday, Dec. 17. Help Us Find A Cover For Our Yearbook Our yearbook cover art contest has launched! Submission forms went home with kiddos or you can pick one up in the front office. Tuesday Game Room Volunteers Needed The Tuesday Game Room is a great opportunity to allow the kiddos to experience recess in a different way. It’s sure to be VERY popular during the cold and rainy January and February recesses and we need volunteers to make sure it happens. Volunteer Tuesdays during 4 recess sessions from 11:45 – 1:30. Visit The Bellevue Ice Skating Rink And Earn Money For The PTSA!
The Downtown Bellevue Ice Skating Rink is open for the season! Mention Newcastle Elementary when you purchase your skating tickets, and $3/ticket will be donated back to the PTSA. Families can make it a night of holiday fun with a visit to Snowflake Lane at The Bellevue Collection and stroll through Garden d’Lights at the Bellevue Botanical Garden. Consider Becoming A Mentor To A Newcastle Student Did you know we have a number of Newcastle students on the waitlist for a VOICE Mentor? Volunteers of Issaquah Changing Education (VOICE) is an in-school, volunteer mentoring program that pairs caring community members with students. Mentors work one-on-one with students throughout the school year, typically for 30 minutes per week during the school day. All students involved benefit from a positive, supportive relationship with an adult role model. To learn more, visit the VOICE website {here}.
