Thank You to Those Who Joined Our PTSA Meeting

Ali Bligh was elected Co-Treasurer; Standing Rules were approved; Final 2020/2021 PTSA Budget was approved. Thank you to Alex Norton and Kailey Mutter for sharing information on Social/Emotional Support for our kids and to Dr. Wood for taking the time to answer all of our questions about hybrid learning.

The Lionbrary Book Exchange Is Here!

Could your kids use some new books to read? Have kids’ books you’d like to donate? Well the Newcastle Book Exchange is live! Round up your books from home and bring them to the Lionbrary cart located in front of the school. Place your books in our book return and take any books off the cart for your reading pleasure (but you don’t have to bring books to take books). The PTSA will replenish the cart as needed. Please note: This is NOT for our school library books.

For those needing assistance in receiving books directly to their homes, please reach out to Kailey Mutter: kmutter@issaquah.wednet.edu, or your PTSA Outreach Team: newcastleptsa.outreach@gmail.com. See flyer for details.

REUNITING THE PRIDELANDS AUCTION NEWS Contact: AuctionNewcastle2021@gmail.com

Auction Logo Art Contest Submissions Due Tuesday, Oct. 6!

Your child has one more day to create art that shows what it means to him/her to reunite the Newcastle Pride Lands. Scan or take a close-up picture of the artwork (hold onto that original!) and send it to auctionnewcastle2021@gmail.com. Please include your child’s name, grade, and teacher. If you’re not able to submit in this way, please contact us at the same email to make other arrangements.

The Auction Team Needs You!

2020 is challenging us all, but we’re working hard to make sure we have a fully-funded PTSA when school starts to look normal again. And we need help, whether you can give an hour a week or an hour a month. IMMEDIATE needs include:

  • Help making phone calls, sitting right from home
  • Help with data entry into our website (easy to do while watching tv)
  • Help building our sponsorship and procurement ideas
  • Help picking up goods and delivering them to school

Please reach out to your auction team, Nicole Anderson or Sarika Sikka, at auctionnewcastle2021@gmail.com if you can help.
