Every two years, the Newcastle Elementary PTSA holds a fundraising auction to raise money to support our students – money that is necessary in today’s climate of state funding shortfalls made worse by the impact on budgeting and staffing issues because of COVID.

This biennial event kicks off with a holiday online auction in December 2022 and culminates with a fabulous evening at the Hyatt Regency South Lake Washington on March 10, 2023, where we will have our silent and live auction, games and more. More than 400 parents, staff and community friends attend this memorable event and it is because of everyone’s participation that we’re able to help bridge the fundraising gap by providing art education, reading and math support, as well as new technology and safety measures to more than 500 students each year.

Due to the COVID pandemic, this will be our first live auction since the 2018-2019 school year, and we could not be more excited! 

This year’s theme is There’s Magic in the Air Tonight. This theme defines the spirit of Disney’s Princess and the Frog film. Set in New Orleans during the 1920’s, the film tells a story of perseverance, optimism, hard work, devotion, magic and love.
