The Newcastle Elementary PTSA is a non-profit organization which supports and advocates for the children and families of Newcastle Elementary School within the Issaquah School District. In partnership with families, the community, teachers, and staff, we provide the funding, programs, and volunteers to enrich the well-being and educational experience for every child.

We are committed to:
1. Recruiting a broad-reaching and diverse membership that fully represents the needs of our students and families.
2. Helping to close gaps to deliver a well-rounded and exceptional educational experience for every child.
3. Creating and sustaining a sense of community and shared purpose amongst families, children, and staff.
4. Ensuring a deep and enduring pool of volunteers and board members in order to sustain the vital work of the PTSA.

Your Charitable Donation:
The Coronavirus pandemic that hit our community in the Spring of 2020 upended all aspects of our lives, not the least of which was the education of our children. The 2020/2021 school year will continue to bring challenges to each of our families and staff members, but the Newcastle PTSA is committed to advocating for the well-being and education of each child at our school. Your PTSA Board is hard at work finalizing plans to help ease the educational burden for our families, find ways to reunite us – students, parents and staff – as a community of Newcastle Lions, and help our students engage in enriching educational experiences that will benefit the “whole child”. But we need your help. The closure of school in the Spring meant we were unable to hold our Spring fundraiser, the Orange Ruler Fun Run. As a result, we find ourselves starting the 2020/2021 school year with a deficit of over $50,000. This amounts to approximately $85/child. We understand that financial circumstances are different for each family, especially in these trying and uncertain times, but if you are able to give, at any level, please do. While our activities will look different this year, we are dedicated to identifying and executing innovative programs to continue enriching the educational experience of every Newcastle Lion.
