Hello Newcastle families,
On March 3rd, author Aron Steinke will be visiting our 2nd-5th graders. The assembly times are as follows: 4th and 5th - 1:35-2:25 2nd and 3rd - 2:40-3:30 Aron is the author of the beloved Mr. Wolf’s Class (graphic novel) series. I told all of the kids (except those who have Monday library) about the visit and we are all excited! If you would like to purchase one of his books as well as support a local bookstore, below is a shopping link. Aron Steinke will personally sign each book that is purchased and I will pick them up from Island Books and deliver them to the students on either March 3rd or 4th. Of course this is totally optional! Celebrating Our Teachers and Staff with an Italian Feast!
At Newcastle, we believe in showing our appreciation for the amazing teachers and staff who give their time and effort to help our children grow and succeed. That’s why, three times a year, the families of Newcastle come together to host a special luncheon to thank them for all they do. This is the second luncheon of the school year, and we are excited to announce that the theme for this event will be Italian! 🇮🇹 From rich pastas to mouthwatering desserts, we’ll be serving up a delicious spread to celebrate our educators. We need the help of our 2nd and 3rd grade families to make this Italian Feast a success! Whether you can cook, volunteer your time, or donate ingredients, your support will make a big difference.
