Lunch/Recess Volunteers

We are in need of lunch and recess support for our Kinder through 3rd grades. If you are able to donate an hour of your time, and are approved through the district to volunteer, please sign up. If you have not yet submitted your volunteer application (this needs to be done every school year), we recommend you do this immediately as it is taking a couple of weeks for the processing of applications. Additional Volunteer Opportunities

The PTSA needs YOUR help to run successfully and bring great programs to our students! Please consider volunteering for one or more of the following:

Staff Appreciation Chair: If planning a family event is outside your comfort zone, but you love to plan parties, then Staff Appreciation is for you!   Lead a group of volunteers to come up with ideas and events to show the staff and teachers how much we care.

Book Fair Chair: The Book Fair is very well coordinated by Scholastic.  They execute an informational webinar and everything is online. They have streamlined the process so it is very easy.  This person will be responsible for helping coordinate the volunteer cashiers and helpers.   It's a short term job, but a busy one.  

Lion Art (2-3 Chairs): Work with LionArt Chair to schedule and help facilitate art projects for the classroom. 

Winter Family Event/Multi-Cultural Event: Do you love when kids discover something new?  Then be a part of the Winter Family Event!  We need a chair person that can plan, promote and coordinate the winter event.

Movie Night Chair: We are looking to host a drive-in theater 2-3 times this year. Volunteers will be needed to promote the event, help with set-up and take down, run concessions.

After School Programs Chair: Help us facilitate with vendors to have after school programs available to our students.

Popcorn Chair: Coordinate the corn popping on Fridays and delegate a schedule to the volunteers.

Tennis Balls

Tennis balls keep disappearing! The kids love playing with them at recess, but alas they are easy to lose. If you have any you would be willing to donate, please drop them off at the front office. We truly appreciate your support!

Spirit Wear Fridays

Every Friday we encourage everyone to wear their spirit! It can be Newcastle Spirit Wear, anything green/yellow, or your favorite sports team!

We are excited to be bringing back Principal Coffee Talk with Dr. Wood! It will take place on Friday, September 30, from 9:30am - 10:30am. Please sign in at the front office, then join Dr. Wood in room 162.
