2017/2018 School Year

What's Happening at Newcastle Elementary!

5th Grade Camp Fundraiser - Tuesday, Nov 7th!

Mark Your Calendars! Tapatio/ZoëYogurt Fundraiser on Tuesday, November 7th!

Newcastle families, mark your calendars and get ready for another great community building event! Our friends at Tapatio will be supporting our 5th graders’ effort to raise money for Camp Seymour again this year.

On Tuesday, November 7th, Tapatio will generously donate a portion of all receipts for the entire day - lunch and dinner! So, plan lunch with co-workers or friends and definitely take the night off from cooking and then bring in the whole family.  Lets show Tapatio our gratitude for their amazing support in Newcastle style! Want to maximize the fundraising? Cash sales get a larger percentage donation.

And...once you've had your fill of delicious food, walk on down to ZoëYogurt to top it off with dessert! That's right, ZoëYogurt is participating in the effort to raise money for camp again this year, too! {Bring in this flyer}; and load up that cup with lots of frozen goodness and sweet toppings. Or grab a pre-filled pint or two to take home.  Either way, you're making a difference!

This is a great opportunity to spend time with friends old and new! So come on out and show your Newcastle Pride to our generous community. We'll see you there!

Please contact Sara Brester (slbrester@hotmail.com) if you have any questions.

Last Day to Donate to the Food Drive & Vote for Pajama Day or Sports Day!

Help make a difference in our community by donating the following non-perishable food items and essential supplies in the marked collection bins within Newcastle Elementary School during the drive.

For a list of items, the Issaquah Food Bank is in serious need of, please {click here}.

Your donations can be deposited into one of the bins at school by the main office or at the foot of the stairs. The bins will be labeled “Pajama Day” and “Sports Day”  - the bin that has the most food will determine which kind of fun day the whole school will have.

If you have any questions, please contact Heather Ackermann at hm_ackermann@yahoo.com or
949-923-8109. Thank you for your help and support!

Are you interested in shaping the PTSA fund raising projects for the future?

We are putting together a Fund Raising Exploration Committee to assess our Spring fundraising efforts and evaluate the Auction components.  If you’re interested in sharing your ideas, opinions or experience, please contact Angela Ursino at angelaursino@comcast.net

Angela and Elysa (Co-Presidents) and Vivian and Gina (Co-VPs, Ways and Means) will be leading this committee and building a plan for our Spring fundraiser and our longer term fundraising strategy.  We expect the commitment for this work will be a meeting once a month with potentially sub-committee meetings or work outside of the full committee meeting.
