Newcastle PTSA Virtual Fundraiser - Give Today To Fund Next Year

In a “normal” year, we’d now be in the thick of our Orange Ruler fundraiser. Kids would have their fundraising pages, classes would be competing for the Pig Race or for free Jamba Juice, volunteers would be at lunch awarding raffle prizes…Even though there is little “normal” about these times, the PTSA is still working and planning to bring back a sense of normalcy and school community next year. But we can’t do it without our amazing families. If you are able to give, at any level, you can donate here100% of the money donated comes back to the school to fund Art Programs, Teacher Grants, Paraprofessionals in the classroom, family programming and more. And mark your calendars for our last General Membership meeting on June 17, where you’ll have a chance to influence how our funds are allocated next year. More details to come.

Indicate Interest In 2020/2021 PTSA Board By May 21

We’ll be delivering our proposed slate for the 2020/2021 board by May 27 to enable voting on June 17.  Our nominating committee continues to search for the following positions:

  • President

  • Secretary

  • Treasurer

  • VP Outreach

  • VP Programs

  • VP Volunteers

  • VP Ways and Means

Most positions require a commitment of no more than 5 hours per month, including meetings, and we design meetings around the schedules of our board members. So whether you’re a mom or dad or grandparent, whether you work outside the home or stay home, the PTSA is for you. The only requirement is that you’re a PTSA member. If you are interested or just have questions or if you know someone you think could be great, please contact our Nominating Committee (Jessica Anderson, Marcia O’Donoghue, Sarika Sikka) at More details about each position can be found here.
