The Season of GRATITUDE Continues!

All through November we’re expressing our thanks to those working so hard to make remote learning work. Have your child draw a picture, send a note, record a message – anything works – and send it to his/her teachers. You can drop off messages at school or send via email or Seesaw. And feel free to show your thanks as well. Let’s make sure our amazing teachers and staff feel ALL THE LOVE this month!

REUNITING THE PRIDE LANDS AUCTION

LAST CHANCE for Holiday Dessert and Wine! Sales ENDS TONIGHT!

Our Thanksgiving Fundraiser ends tonight. PRE-ORDER and stock up for your holiday (and winter) needs. You'll be supporting local businesses and your school - WIN WIN! Frosty Barrel ice creams, Remlinger Farms pies, and specialty wines are available. Get more information HERE. Pumpkin pie has a small lead over apple!!! Which one will be our school's favorite? CAST YOUR VOTE and the PTSA will donate the winner to families in need.

The Winter Online Marketplace is Coming!

Cleaning out the house for the holidays? Our Winter Online Marketplace will launch Dec. 7 and we’re looking for items to include. Search your garages, drawers and closets – we need:

  • Unused gift cards (any denomination)
  • Unopened games/toys/puzzles, etc.
  • Future event tickets
  • Anything you think would make a good gift – ask us!

A special Holiday Box will be available for donation drop-off on Tuesdays from 3:45-6pm at the front entrance of school. Donation forms are available for tax purposes. Again, all proceeds from the Marketplace will benefit Newcastle Elementary in the years to come!

Newcastle Parent Support Night - Thursday, Nov. 19 at 6:30pm

We have set aside this hour to provide practical, concrete, and accessible ideas for parents looking for strategies to support children in reading, writing, and math. We will also be reviewing the importance of productive struggle and its value in helping children embrace ownership of their own learning success, which is critical to growth in any learning model! We will wrap up the evening with a discussion of the importance of self-care for parents, including some specific strategies thrown in for good measure! We hope that you can join us for this special event!
