Sunshine and Well-Wishes for Dr. Wood
Our fearless leader, Dr. Wood, is out and on the mend for the next couple of weeks. We would like to give him a proper "Welcome Back" from the pride of Newcastle Lions. We will be collecting signatures and well-wishes from the students, staff, and Newcastle Elementary community on a large poster and card that will be presented to him on his first day back. Additionally, we will put an envelope out in front of the school to collect cards, notes, and drawings. Collections will continue through Tuesday, October 19th. Questions? Contact Outreach at newcastleptsa.outreach@gmail.com.
Call for Entries for Reflections!
Attention All Artists! Express yourself and use the arts to share your personal Reflections on this year’s theme: I Will Change the World By… The Reflections Program is a National PTA and Washington State PTA cultural arts competition. The purpose of this program is to provide an opportunity for students to use their creative talents by expressing themselves through their own original works. This program encourages students to explore an idea, centered around a theme in visual arts, photography, dance choreography, film making, literature, or music composition. Start working on your piece today! Check out the FLYER or find out more information at https://www.wastatepta.org/events-programs/reflections/. Submissions are due to the Main Office at Newcastle Elementary by Friday, October 29, 2021. Questions? Contact Alice Kim at newcastleptsa.reflections@gmail.com.
THANK YOU, FAMILIES!
A huge THANK YOU to all of you who helped fully restock the break room! The sign ups filled up fast! We truly appreciate the support for our teachers and staff! What an amazing display of thoughtfulness and generosity, Newcastle Lions!
