Food Drive Results

A great big THANK YOU to all who were able to donate for our annual food drive for the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank! We truly appreciate Rebecca Ludwig-Nguyen for spearheading the drive and helping make it a great success! She dropped off all the donations over the weekend. Special thanks also to Jenn McAleer and Brittany Frank!

GaGa Pit is UP!

Thank you, Mr. Cornwall, for setting up our GaGa Pit! This was achieved during our 2021 auction due to the wonderful support of our families! Ask your student(s) what they think of it!

Yearbook & Membership Drive

Have you ordered your yearbook AND joined the PTSA? Here’s how to double check:
~Scroll down until you see "My Account" on the left
~Log in (or create an account) and from there you'll be able to see all purchases made

We are in the final week of our membership drive! Congratulations to Mrs. Posten's & Mrs. Crawford's classes who have earned a pajama day! There is still time to help your children's classrooms!

Remember, joining the PTSA does not mean you have to volunteer! However, if you are interested, please email newcastleptsa.volunteers@gmail.com. Why do you want to join? Check out this image that shows just some of the programs we support. If you have any questions about yearbook or PTSA membership, please email newcastleptsa.president@gmail.com.

Golden Acorn Nominations Now Open!

It's that time of year when we recognize those in our community who go above and beyond in being of service to our students and school. The Golden Acorn Award is a very prestigious Washington State PTA award that is given out by local PTAs/PTSAs for exemplary and outstanding volunteerism and service to PTA. Honorees that receive this award have volunteer experience at the local PTA level, in the community, and at the school and/or school district level.

Do you know someone you think deserves this amazing recognition? If so, please complete a nomination form HERE by Tuesday March 1.

Last year's winners, Sarika Sikka, Jessica Anderson, and Peter O’Donoghue are serving as this year's Golden Acorn Committee. You can contact our chair, Peter, with questions at peteinseattle@yahoo.com.

She will address common fears and concerns with research-based, realistic approaches, and a developmentally focused, tech-positive mindset.
