School Supplies for 2022-23

It’s that time of year! Newcastle PTSA has once again partnered with School Tool Box to make your school supply shopping easy! Our teachers have submitted their supply list and it’s all ready to go. 

Simply go to https://schooltoolbox.com, search for Newcastle Elementary, then select your student’s grade for next year. If you order before July 4th, the boxes will be sent directly to the school and will be ready for the first day. Should you shop after July 4th, the boxes will be sent directly to your home.

Spring Fling Help

IEP (Individualized Education Plan) Meeting Info Night

May 17^th on Zoom from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 

Families and guardians with children in the Special Education program in Issaquah School District are invited to attend an information workshop on IEP meetings. This is a general information session for families with students in ECE to 12^th grade with an IEP. It is an overview of the parent’s role and participation at IEP meetings. Specific questions regarding your child’s IEP should be addressed to the IEP team. 

Topics in this session include 

·         IEP team - who is part of the team and what is their role? 

·         What is the parent/guardian role in the IEP team meeting? 

·         Tips and suggestions for “Parent Input” and participation 

·         Information about parts of the IEP document and process.

Presentations will be facilitated by the ISD Special Services Department in collaboration with the ISD Equity and Family Partnership Department.
