Spring Fling!
Spring Fling is TODAY! Please ensure your student comes to school in comfortable shoes and clothing. We are still looking for a few more volunteers to help run the various events for our Spring Fling. NOTE: all volunteers must be pre-approved to be on school grounds and pre-approval must be done annually. The link to sign up for the event can be FOUND HERE (please only signup only if you are approved).
This all-day carnival will take place during the school day. There will be plenty of outside activities for the kids to participate in, including carnival games, field games and an inflatable obstacle course! Be sure to send your kids in comfortable clothes and sneakers so they can be ready to run/jump/play. Kids will have opportunities to win various prizes and every kid will be sent home with a Newcastle Lions goodie bag.
 Yearbooks
Yearbooks will be arriving in your child's classroom for those that pre-ordered on Tuesday, June 14th! We will also have a limited number of yearbooks available for purchase on a first come, first serve basis in the PTSA office on:
Tuesday, June 14th, 3:30p-4:00p
Wednesday, June 15th, 1:00p-1:30p (if there are any leftovers)
If interested, please bring with you $30 cash or a $30 check made payable to Newcastle Elementary PTSA. Only purchases made in person during these hours will be accepted. The PTSA office is located directly across from the school office.
 Fifth Grade Celebration Help
Attention 4th grade families! We need you! The 5th grade families are requesting your assistance next week. Along with the 5th grade teachers and staff, we are honoring our students' experience at Newcastle Elementary and their transition to middle school with an outdoor celebration. Our ask: Volunteers present during the event and for clean-up Duties include: Handing out programs, monitoring photo stations and treat table, putting away chairs and removing decorations Volunteer time: approximately 9:15am to 12:00pm (**any length of time is greatly appreciated**) Event date: Wednesday, June 15th, at 10:00am

 Food Drive Please help us support the Issaquah Food and Clothing bank! They have given us and our community so much, we’d love to return the favor! Bins will be located outside the front office. Thank you!
School Supplies for Next Year Time is running out to get your school supplies through our vendor for next year! Newcastle PTSA has once again partnered with School Tool Box to make your school supply shopping easy! Our teachers have submitted their supply list and it’s all ready to go. Simply go to https://schooltoolbox.com, search for Newcastle Elementary, then select your student’s grade for next year. If you order before July 4th, the boxes will be sent directly to the school and will be ready for the first day. Should you shop after July 4th, the boxes will be sent directly to your home. Prefer to shop on our own? Check out the supply list on the website and you can see what each grade is asking for. If you would like financial support in purchasing, please contact Meredith Osborne (subbing for Kailey Mutter), osborneM@issaquah.wednet.edu or call the Newcastle office and ask for her: 425-837-5800.
PTSA Board for 2022-2023 At our final PTSA Membership meeting on Monday, June 6th, we voted in our exec board for the 2022-2023 school year!
Lost and Found Our lost and found is overflowing! These racks will be outside the main office hall beginning Friday, June 10. Please stop by and check if anything belongs to your student(s). Anything not claimed will be donated!
