Did you Get Your Newcastle Car Decal?
Car decals for all who join! 🐾 Do you have to volunteer your time to be a member? NO! Becoming a member is as easy as paying the $15-25 membership fee and that’s it. Should you wish to volunteer, we would love to have your support there as well. Join HERE today!  Fundraiser with OL Reign
What better way to spend your Friday night than with OL Reign to celebrate Megan Rapinoe's retirement?  Snacks for Staff Lounge We need your help in stocking our staff lounge with coffee and snacks!
   Please consider donating the items listed, and thank you for your generosity! You can drop the items off at the office during school hours or send them through your children during drop off or pickup with a sticky note "staff lounge.” Link to the sign up is HERE.
 Reflections Chair - Last Call or NO Program!
We would love to host Reflections this year, however we need a chairperson in order to offer the program! Reflections Program is a National PTA and Washington State PTA cultural arts competition, providing students with an opportunity to showcase their creative talents, in expression of original art works. Each Friday, we encourage everyone to show their school spirit! You can wear your Newcastle Spirit Wear, yellow/green, or your favorite sports team! Let's see that pride!
 Calling all Angels!
Did you know that Newcastle Elementary has an Angel Program that exists to support our families impacted by financial hardship? Our school counselor assists these families in identifying community resources. Volunteers within Newcastle Elementary fulfill additional family requests. Each of our families/students and volunteers remain anonymous.
Be Brave. Privacy of all requests will be respected. From a winter coat to school supplies, rain boots to a birthday gift, our substitute school counselor, Carla Geraci, is available to help in a time of need. Please send an email to MutterK@issaquah.wednet.edu or call (425) 837-5817. Be an Angel. Become an Angel Donor. Angel Donors directly impact the health and well-being of Newcastle students. Anyone can be an Angel Donor by shopping, purchasing and/or delivering requests. Email newcastleptsa.angel@gmail.com for inquiries. Be a Model.   Principal Coffee Chat
Please join Dr. Wood for a chat on Friday, September 29th, from 9:30am to 10:30am. Check in at the front office. SPEAKING of Coffee Chat, we are in need of a chair! You would schedule each one with the principal and take care of treats and coffee, paid for by the PTSA. If you are interested, please contact our VPs of Volunteers: newcastleptsa.volunteers@gmail.com.
 Lost and Found
Only three weeks into school and already our Lost and Found is getting full! We HIGHLY recommend labeling clothing, as occasionally we do have items with names and are able to reunite them with your student. There are companies that make customized stamps specifically for clothing. One example is HERE. The PTSA does not endorse this specific company, only as an idea/option for your family.
 Before/After School Programs
The PTSA works to coordinate these programs for students but they are not associated with the PTSA. These are independent programs coming into the school to provide these services. If you would like to inquire about financial assistance, please contact Kailey Mutter our school counselor for more information about our Angel Program: MutterK@issaquah.wednet.edu or call (425) 837-5817.
Additionally, if a parent/caregiver would be willing to volunteer, LEAP4Kidz will exchange for free tuition! You need to be a member of the Newcastle PTSA, approved to volunteer, and come for the whole session (even if your student is absent or find a replacement). Contact LEAP4Kidz in the flyer below if you are interested!
Chess
This program meets before school on Tuesdays. Please see the flyer for more information and any questions regarding this program should be directed to All About Chess directly.
