2) eWallet

This year, parents can choose to create an eWallet for their children to spend at the fair, which means they won’t have to carry cash to school. Here is a video describing what eWallet is:

https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/content/fairs/videos/intro-to-ewallet-fair-files.html.

Directions for creating an eWallet:

- Click on this link: https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/newcastleelementaryschool9

- Scroll down to “Get Started” under the eWallet Photo

- Then scroll down to “Get Started” under Create eWallet

- Sign in or create an account (if you do not already have one with Scholastic)

Please Note: eWallets do NOT return funds so if a child has $20 in their eWallet and only spends $17, that money is not returned. It will remain in their wallet for next year's fair.

3) Volunteers

If you are interested in volunteering, and are approved through the district, please click this link and sign up!

Join us at Issaquah Schools Foundation Nourish Every Mind Event

Our PTSA would be so honored if you'd join us at our table for the Issaquah Schools Foundation Nourish Every Mind Student Showcase!

During the one hour event, we invite you to reconnect over a complimentary lunch with friends as students share how your Foundation support fuels innovation and student success in our schools. Be sure to choose Mary Vickers (our PTSA co-president) in the Table Captain drop-down menu. Space for the event will be limited so please register as soon as you can!

The final deadline to order is Friday, May 31st.

Join the PTSA Executive Board for the 2024-2025 School Year

Would you like to help set the direction for the PTSA? Want to be more “in the know” about what happens at school? Interested in meeting new people? All while working in service of our students? Then please consider joining our PTSA Executive Board. We’re made up of parents from all different backgrounds and experiences, just like our community. We have moms, a dad, parents who work full-time and part-time, and parents who don’t work outside the home. There’s a place for everyone. You can learn more about the various roles on the Board and the time commitment (typically less than 3-5 hours per month) HERE. If you’re interested in learning more or have someone you think would be great on the board, please contact Dana Kinghorn (part of our Nominating Committee) at dkinghorn80@gmail.com.

Communications Co-Chair Needed!

Your Newcastle PTSA is still in need of a volunteer as the Communications Co-Chair. You will work directly with the PTSA Co-Presidents to create this very Newsletter, keeping all of our Newcastle PTSA members up to date. This position only requires 1-2 hours per week of time. Please email NewcastlePTSA.President@gmail.com if you’re interested or if you have any questions.
