Staff Appreciation

Last week, we embarked on a culinary journey around the world to celebrate Staff Appreciation Week.

Our adventure began in the charming streets of Paris on Monday, where our staff were treated to the rich aromas of freshly brewed coffee, accompanied by flaky croissants, delicate pastries, and an abundance of fresh fruit, transporting them to the heart of France.

Tuesday brought the vibrant flavors of Mexico to our school as families from TK, Kinder, and 1st grade joined forces to create a "Nacho" average teacher taco bar and a lively Mexican fiesta, igniting our taste buds with spicy salsas and savory delights.

Midweek, our staff indulged in a global dessert extravaganza on Wednesday, where they sampled a tantalizing array of sweet treats from various corners of the world, each bite a celebration of diversity and sweetness.

Thursday saw us journeying to the bustling streets of China and beyond, as our staff savored the bold and enticing flavors of Asia. From savory noodles to sweet and spicy chicken, and even fresh sushi, it was a culinary adventure like no other.

Finally, we concluded our worldly expedition on Friday in the Land of the Rising Sun, Japan. Our staff delighted in an assortment of exquisite sweet and savory Japanese-style sandwiches, each bite a testament to the artistry and precision of Japanese cuisine.

All of this would not have been possible without our VPs of Volunteers, Janis Yu and Alice Kim and most of all, our chair Ellie Diaz! Thank you ladies for your dedication to our school community!

Special thanks to Card My Yard Newcastle for helping make our love for our staff on full display! Check out the videos and photos of this great week on our instagram page HERE!

Yearbooks for Angel Program

The Angel Program exists to support our families impacted by financial hardships. Our counselor Ms. Mutter works closely with our students and families to provide support for basic needs. Occasionally we get the opportunity to help these students in other ways that help contribute to their personal growth as a student here at Newcastle Elementary.

We have identified several students that, without the support of our Angel Donors and community, family members would not be in a financial position to purchase a yearbook. If you would like to sponsor a yearbook for a student, please consider donating a yearbook HERE.

Thank you in advance for your generosity.
