Donate Toys and Winter Items to Help Local Families

The PTSA is helping two local organizations fulfill holiday needs and wishes. Now through Dec. 15 you can drop off donations for the following:

Eastside Baby Corner: New unwrapped toys ages 0-12

Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank: New or gently used winter coats, gloves, scarves, hats, boots, etc, ages 0-12

Collection bins are in front of the school M-F 8am-6pm. We have one more contact-free Saturday drop off on Dec. 12 from 12-2pm in the school bus loop. Check out the FLYER for more information.

Create Holiday Baking Memories with a Virtual Baking Class!

The PTSA invites you to our first ever Zoom baking class! You and your child(ren) can join our very own Newcastle parent (and baker extraordinaire), Alice Kim, for a Virtual Baking Class. Join Alice on Sunday, Dec. 13, from 3-3:45pm and learn to make delicious butter mochi cupcakes. Ingredient list and full instructions will be provided. Sign up HERE today.

Issaquah Schools Foundation Spotlight on Success – Character Strong

Our current circumstances are challenging for everyone, including our students… and we want to be sure we are supporting their social and emotional needs.  Funded by the Foundation at all 5 middle schools, Character Strong curriculum offers a combination of social, emotional, and character development that is effective during remote learning as well as in the school building.  Character Strong helps support a positive culture by teaching kindness, respect, selflessness, patience, humility, forgiveness, and honesty.

Issaquah Schools Foundation Impact Scholarship Applications Open

Available to high school juniors and seniors, the Issaquah Schools Foundation offers TWO scholarships, awarded to students who submit essays that describe how Issaquah Schools Foundation-funded programs have enriched their education.  The scholarships are offered in two categories: Written ($1000) and Presentation ($1500).
