Newcastle Students Impacted by New Middle School

There is a new middle school opening Fall 2021 at the base of the Talus neighborhood in Issaquah. A boundary review committee has been working since December to determine who will attend the school. The current working recommendation is that Newcastle, Cougar Ridge and part of IVE would attend, with Newcastle then returning to Liberty High School. This is just a recommendation and the committee continues to seek parent input. If you would like to learn more, you can find information HERE. If you have feedback you would like the committee to consider, you can email brc@issaquah.wednet.edu. Dr. Wood and Trisha Marshall are our representatives on the committee and you can copy them on emails at woodt@issaquah.wednet.edu and tsm0507@gmail.com. Please keep comments focused on the middle school decision as this committee will not make any decisions re: high school boundaries.

PTSA Membership Contest Extended Thru January!

The PTSA does so much for our school and students and yet membership requires NOTHING of you except the payment of annual dues (as low as $15). Each GRADE that gets at least 10 new PTSA members by the end of January will win a Spirit Day. And 3 classes that end January with the greatest percentage of families signed up will win lunchtime with Dr. Wood.

Not yet a PTSA member and want to help your child and their classmates earn these fun prizes?  JOIN TODAY, it only takes a few minutes. Even if you think you've already registered this school year, that might not be the case. Reach out to Christine McClure at ajandchristine@gmail.com to verify.
